Our church was a small Independent Baptist Church with a program that encouraged children to learn the Bible and memorize Scripture. If everything was completed the church paid for one week of camp in the summer. At five years old I completed all the requirements and went to camp for a week. During the week, when an invitation was given as we sat around a campfire, I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. I cannot say I understood much about what that meant, but I know very clearly that was when I trusted Christ.

I continued with church throughout my youth, was baptized at age 12 and grew in my Bible knowledge. It wasn’t, however, until I went to college that I began to understand what it meant to live as a Christian on a daily basis. At the University of Pennsylvania, I connected with Campus Crusade, a Christian organization serving college students, and was mentored by several of their staff. At age 19 I gave my life to God to use however He directed. I had developed a commitment to the local church and upon graduation moved to Portland, OR to receive pastoral training at Western Seminary. I completed my graduate studies there earning M.Div. and Master of Theology degrees. I have been involved as a pastor in church ministry for the past 35+ years until I began serving with iTEE in 2020. Through all my years I have continued to grow in my relationship with God.

My wife Jeanne and I have a son and two daughters, two son-in-law’s, one daughter-in-law and three wonderful grandchildren. I currently serve on staff with iTEE Global, an international educational and discipleship ministry and look to continue to serve the local church. I have been a referee for youth soccer, like working outside in the yard, woodworking and enjoy playing golf.
